A small collection of timeless plein air paintings depicting a bucolic vision of British life between the wars. Bone was a well-known figure in the artistic establishment of the day and his rural scenes illustrated many publications including a Shell Guide to the west coast of Scotland. Most have been held by the family until recently and haven’t been exhibited since the 1930s.
