‘Otherwhere is a collection of work which strives to leave the viewer breathless and full of questions. I wanted to push beyond the well-worn narrative of passive, dependent females, to create a painted world of action and relatable choices, where each character has their own motivation and drive. Otherwhere zeros in on moments of fundamental decision–faith or fear, stay or go, accept or reject. These moments are set within a somewhat allegorical landscape world–Otherwhere–which references the journey of all our lives.’
