Lucien Grandgerard (1880-1970)

A French figurative painter and etcher working throughout the twentieth century , he is well known for his light impressionist style, often depicting attractive nude or scantily clad female models in romanticised settings. He was to the French what Russell Flint was to the British and Anders Zorn was to the Swedes. Despite his frequent appearance on the international auction market very little biographical information is known about him.
